4 hour Concealed Carry
Course covers basic firearm safety; familiarization with revolvers and auto pistols; Colorado Laws regarding the use of deadly force; ammunition and its function; Shooting fundamentals, and opportunity to use them on the range. If you pass you will receive a certificate of completion that can be used to get a concealed carry permit.
4 hour gun safety and basic protection
Course covers firearm safety, familiarization with revolvers and auto pistols; ammunition and its function; Shooting fundamentals, and opportunity to use them on the range. This course spends more time with safety and familiarization, Colorado Laws are not covered. This class does not qualify for a concealed carry permit.
8 hour NRA Basic Course
Course covers Safe Firearm handling; Firearm parts and operation; ammunition and its function; how to select, clean and store a firearm; Colorado Laws regarding the use of deadly force; Shooting fundamentals, and opportunity to use them on the range. If you pass you will receive an NRA Basic Course certificate of completion and a concealed carry certificate.
6 hour Home defense Level 1 - Prerequisite: take and pass a 4 hour class.
This course spends more time on the range practicing. You will practice drawing from a holster, shooting from different positions, standing, kneeling, seated, and prone, shooting in motion, walking forward, sideways and rearward; shooting from cover. You receive a certificate of completion. This certificate does not qualify for a concealed carry permit. If you want to take this course and you do not already have a concealed carry permit you can stay after the class is finished and learn about Colorado laws regarding the use of deadly force and get a concealed carry certificate.
